What are Roman Shades?
Roman shades operate on a basic design, even though they look elegant. They’re crafted from manually or automatically lowered fabric and raised with a simple cord system connected to rings. This system is integrated into the back of the fabric and doesn’t take away from the aesthetics. When the cord is pulled, the fabric moves up or down to stack the material in horizontal folds.
These window coverings can be mounted inside or outside window frames. Inside mountings allow you to see the window casing, but Roman shades can be installed on the outsides of your window frames when there isn’t enough room or layered with other window treatments.
The options for Roman shades are endless, with many different fabric and style combinations, plus upgrades; some don’t even require cords. We feature three categories of Hunter Douglas Roman shades that we think will look amazing in your home, no matter your style.
Vignette® Roman Shades
Offered in over 25 luxurious color and fabric combinations, these soft, textured shades are available with flat, contoured, or uniform folds. These come in rolling or stacking 4” or 6” flat folds, and can be enhanced with:
